Ways to Preserve Every TikTok Before the January 2025 Prohibition

With a January 19, 2025, deadline, the TikTok ban is getting closer and closer.

A legislation requiring ByteDance, the Chinese firm that controls TikTok, to either relinquish the app or risk a statewide ban was upheld by the US Court of Appeals on December 6. This ruling demonstrates the growing apprehension over the app’s connections to China and its threats to national security. And in the next weeks, we could not have access to the wildly popular video streaming service.

You’re likely concerned about a lot of things if you use TikTok, particularly if you’re a creator. Will January really see the demise of TikTok? Are there any comparable programs you might use instead? Will all of your videos on TikTok be removed?

You should consider storing every video you’ve ever uploaded to TikTok if you’re concerned about the last one. Otherwise, they may disappear into thin air. Fortunately, it’s simple.

Methods for downloading all of your TikTok videos to your Android and iPhone

Launch the TikTok app on your Android or Apple smartphone, then choose Profile from the navigation bar’s lower right corner. Click the three-dot menu button in the lower right corner of any video you’ve uploaded, then choose the Save video option. The movie will then be downloaded to the video collection on your phone.

The procedure is comparable but not quite the same if you have drafts that you want to save. Tap a video in your drafts, then choose Save from the menu on the editor’s right.

If you have dozens or even hundreds of films uploaded to TikTok, it might become a hassle since there is no way to do this for every video at once.

Perhaps it’s time to find alternatives if TikTok really disappears. If you haven’t heard before, Bluesky is also quite popular.
